Course layout

The training course is partly lecture completed with practical exercises like creating PSI/SI tables and using a Transport Stream analyser. For training at our SeaChange office, we will provide Virtual Machines. For on-site training, the customer must provide one PC per person (with administrator rights for installing software).

Learning objectives

After participation of the training the participant will understand:

• Understand the basics of the DVB Transport streams structure.
• Understand the basics of DVB modulation and error correction.
• Understand the structure of the MPEG-PSI tables and descriptors.
• Understand the principles of DVB Conditional Access and SimulCrypt or OpenCas.
• Analyse Transport Streams and PSI-SI tables on a Transport Stream analyser

Prerequisites

• Understand the English language
• Basic knowledge of Broadcast & Transmission systems
