LONDON – London is now home to a first-of-a-kind video content factory established by
On Demand Group (a SeaChange International company), the three-screen enabler for premier television service providers and content brands. On Demand Group’s new headquarters and purpose-built technical facility in Tower Bridge Road provides cable, IPTV and mobile operators with comprehensive content processing, production and business services that bring on-demand video to every consumer platform.
Tony Kelly, On Demand Group CEO, commented, “Our move puts us in control of our own asset processing and creative production capability for the first time, differentiating the SeaChange companies even further in the fast moving digital TV, broadband and mobile markets. It underpins our mission for enabling a seamless three-screen video-on-demand experience across set-top boxes, PCs and mobile phones.”
On Demand Group develops and manages the on-demand businesses of a growing roster of market leading service providers such as Virgin Media, Telekom Austria, Unity Media, O2, 3 UK and others – from day-to-day operations, to content library management, and full service on-screen and off-screen marketing. On Demand Group’s service and technology suite, including the exclusive VZ and Adrenalin content management platforms, is engaged whole or in part by the service providers who are today proliferating high-quality streamed video to millions of cable, IPTV and mobile subscribers.
Inside the Content Factory
On Demand Group facilities, including state-of-the-art equipment from Dolby, Grab Networks, Softel and Tektronix, enable the Company to ingest tape or file-based assets obtained through numerous movie and television studio partnerships, and supply top quality, stream-ready content in a wide range of HD and SD consumer formats including MPEG-2, MPEG-4, MXF, FLV, WMV and QuickTime, at highly competitive prices. Further, it’s TL9000 certified in support of the world’s growing telco IPTV industry.
The Tower Bridge Road building extends over six floors, including one outfitted as a complete digital video processing and editing resource with Avid Media Composer workstations, Avid Media Composer Nitris DX finishing suites, and a White Mark designed Pro-Tools 8 audio suite. It expands On Demand Group’s award-winning creative capabilities for multi-lingual video barker production, promotions, commercials, interstitials and graphics targeting English, German, Greek, Turkish and Arabic audiences on TVs, PCs and mobile phones.
“On Demand Group is the agile and responsive partner that connects content owners with service providers, consistently fulfilling its mission as incubator of the finest on-demand services,” said Bill Styslinger, SeaChange Chairman and CEO. “The Company embodies the superior quality and risk-reduction assurances that video service providers require. On Demand Group’s new London base affirms its ongoing strategic value as our customers today plan for integrated service offerings that are manageable and consumable across multiple devices from a single intelligent network.”
