SeaChange at IBC 2010 Demonstrates Open Solutions Supporting Multi-Screen Video Services

ACTON, Mass. & EINDHOVEN, Netherlands – With multi-screen video services underway around the world, the SeaChange International (NASDAQ: SEAC) Companies, including eventIS and On Demand Group, are using IBC 2010 to show how the world’s television operators are transforming to deliver personalized video services beyond set-tops to millions of subscribers and video devices.  SeaChange will guide visitors through a wide open software ecosystem that’s proven to bring multi-screen services from concept to consumers on a rapid timeline.  

Live demonstrations will span television’s greatest growth opportunities including mobile streaming, home media management, over-the-top video and multi-screen TV advertising.  Throughout stand 1.C27 the SeaChange Companies will show video technologies deployed for StarHub, Three (U.K.), 3 Italia, Vodacom and others.

Multi-screen service creation insights and lessons learned will be delivered by Simon McGrath, SeaChange Vice President of Strategic Accounts and Alliances, in the Sept. 13 IBC conference session “Engagement and Monetization for Mobile TV and Mobile Applications” with operators Orange, Eircom and Modern Times Group.  

Also, on Sept. 10 at IBC, Cable & Satellite International magazine will announce the CSI Awards winners.  This year’s shortlist includes U.K. mobile operator Three’s breakthrough TV on Demand mobile subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service, which was nominated for the category of best mobile TV technology or service.  Based on SeaChange and On Demand Group technology and services, TV on Demand combines top television programming, flexible subscription pricing and seamless access from a wide range of mobile handsets.
