Sinclair: TV stations embracing social media
Timeline provides the data behind Trending News format programming, leading to consistently higher ratings.
SeaChange Timeline (formerly Timeline Labs) helped Sinclair Broadcasting Group (“SBG”) redefine the “Trending News” format for The Refresh, a locally produced show for KUTV, the Sinclair-owned CBS affiliate in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Refresh is broadcast daily on KUTV at 3pm MT.  Ratings consistently outperform the syndicated programming of their competing stations in the Salt Lake City DMA.

As SBG looks to expand The Refresh format to additional local markets, Timeline will provide the trends on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram for each of the additional markets.
