SeaChange posts customer testimonials on its Sites which may contain personally identifiable information such as the customer’s name and title. SeaChange obtains the customer’s consent prior to posting the testimonial to post their name along with their testimonial. If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter(s), we will use your name and email address to send the newsletter to you. Out of respect for your privacy, we provide you a way to unsubscribe by providing a functional unsubscribe mechanism in each email communication we send to users.
Surveys and Contests
From time-to-time our Sites may request personal information from you in connection with surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Personal information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as postal code). Tradeshows and Product Promotions

SeaChange’s Sites are not intended for or directed at children under 13 years of age. If you are under 18 or otherwise would be required to have parent or guardian consent to share information with SeaChange, you should not send any information about yourself to us. As required by law, if a person under 13 submits information through any part of a SeaChange Site, and we learn the person submitting the information is such a child, we will attempt to delete this information as soon as possible.
Recruitment and Job Applications
Job applicants may provide us with personal information through our Sites. Personal information such as that contained on a resume or curriculum vitae may be submitted in connection with a job application or inquiry. We may use this information throughout SeaChange (worldwide) for the purpose of employment consideration or your inquiry. We may keep your information on file for future consideration.
Log Files and Aggregate Information
SeaChange may record information that is not individually identifiable about how people access our Sites. This information includes IP addresses (or the DNS name associated with it), the site from which you are visiting SeaChange and the web software you are using. This information is used in the aggregate, without disclosure of any individually identifiable information, to administer our system and make improvements to our Sites and to report to our customers and prospects on our Sites’ performance. We reserve the right to share aggregate and anonymous information with potential partners and other third parties without restriction.
Display Advertising and Retargeting Efforts on Third-Party Websites and Applications
SeaChange has implemented and uses Display Advertising across third-party websites and applications opted into the Google Content Network. Certain SeaChange advertisements on third party websites and applications in the Google Content Network may be retargeted using Google Analytics. Retargeting means that third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on a user’s past visits to our Sites.
How Can I Opt Out of Google Analytics for Display Network or Retargeting?
If you would like to be removed or blocked from Google Analytics For Display Network or from retargeting efforts there are several options:
To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of personal information, SeaChange has adopted appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the personal information we process. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. Data maintained by SeaChange is protected by computer security mechanisms including firewalls, encryption, monitoring software, data and network segmentation, and passwords. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If, during their employment, SeaChange employees acquire confidential or proprietary information belonging to SeaChange or its customers, such information is required to be handled in confidence and may not be disclosed to unauthorized third parties. SeaChange employees are also responsible for the internal security of such information. SeaChange provides information and training to all employees who have access to data maintained on behalf of SeaChange customers. Employees who violate SeaChange security and safe maintenance of data policies are subject to appropriate discipline including, but not limited to, termination. With respect to the receipt and processing of personal data from individuals that originates in the European Union (EU) or Switzerland, SeaChange complies with the Safe Harbor Framework between the United States and the European Union, and to the Safe Harbor Framework between the United States and Switzerland. Accordingly, SeaChange has certified that it adheres to the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles – notice, choice, onward transfer, access, security, data integrity, and enforcement – and Frequently Asked Questions, as agreed separately by the U.S. Department of Commerce with the European Commission and the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner of Switzerland.
